CANTONA ACTIVITIES

1 - Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily enter and/or participate in activities at Cantona Homestead, including interaction with animals, children’s play areas, outdoor areas, equipment, and related recreational or educational activities.

I understand that these activities involve inherent and other risks, including contact with animals (such as goats, sheep, rabbits, and ponies), animal bites, kicks or unpredictable behavior; falls, slips and collisions; uneven, wet, muddy or outdoor surfaces; exposure to animals, insects, allergens and natural conditions; equipment or play-area hazards; bodily injury, illness, property damage, permanent injury, and in rare cases, death.

I knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume these risks.

2 – Release of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY TEXAS LAW, I RELEASE, WAIVE AND AGREE NOT TO SUE THE OWNER AND/OR OPERATOR OF CANTONA HOMESTEAD, WHETHER THE SAME OR DISTINCT PERSONS OR LEGAL ENTITIES, TOGETHER WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, CONTRACTORS, LANDOWNERS AND REPRESENTATIVES (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN ACTIVITIES AT, OR PRESENCE ON THE PREMISES OF, CANTONA HOMESTEAD, INCLUDING CLAIMS CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASED PARTY.

This release includes claims for personal injury, illness, death, or property loss or damage. It does not release gross negligence, willful or intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot legally be waived.

3 – Rules, children & animals

I agree to follow all posted rules and staff instructions. Children must be always supervised by a responsible adult. Cantona Homestead may deny or terminate participation for unsafe conduct or failure to follow instructions.

4 – Emergency care

If reasonably necessary in an emergency, I authorize Cantona Homestead to provide basic first aid and/or contact emergency medical services. I remain responsible for resulting medical or transportation expenses except as otherwise required by law.

5 – Photo and video consent

I authorize Cantona Homestead to photograph and/or record me or, if applicable, the minor participant, and to use such photographs or recordings for promotional, advertising, social media, website, or other business-related purposes, without compensation.

6 – Texas law

This Agreement is governed by Texas law. Any action relating to this Agreement shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction and proper venue in Texas. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

7 – Acknowledgment

I have read and understand this Agreement, understand that it includes an assumption of risk and release of liability for ordinary negligence, and sign it freely and voluntarily before participating.

If a Spanish translation is provided, it is provided to facilitate understanding. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the English-language version controls in the event of any inconsistency.
